Atrian Indústria Alimentar has acquired 80% of the capital of the Pão em Casa franchise network , a brand specializing in the daily home delivery of fresh bakery and pastry products.
The remaining capital stays in the hands of the brand's founder, Marco Pombo, who remains in the company's executive management.
The Pão em Casa brand is already present in several cities across the country, but the company aims to cover the entire national territory within five years, and has therefore already begun the process of selecting new franchisees, with the goal of increasing from the current 15 to 100.
Looking for new channels
“This investment is part of the group's strategy to seek new channels for the products we manufacture, bringing us closer to the end consumer, but without competing with our current markets, Horeca and retail. With the Pão em Casa network, we intend not only to serve the domestic market, where we currently operate, but also to offer 'turnkey' breakfast solutions for small tourist accommodation units that do not have a kitchen or staff. We are also developing programs for companies, in their offices, to provide their employees with benefits such as fresh bread to take home daily, breakfast, coffee breaks or birthday cakes. The Pão em Casa network has followed a solid and consistent path, combining technology and the digitalization of processes with a personalized and close service, which is fully aligned with our values ,” says Pedro Balancho, CEO of Atrian.
