Pingo Doce and Sushi Daily open sushi kiosk in Porto.

Pingo Doce and the international chain Sushi Daily have just opened a sushi kiosk in Porto, at the Matosinhos Brito e Cunha store. This is the second location for the two companies, following the opening of the Lagos kiosk in August.

The partnership between the retail chain and the sushi specialist, which owns 700 sushi kiosks in Europe, already includes plans to open five more kiosks in 2019 in various cities across the country.

At these kiosks, customers can find a wide variety of Japanese food to eat in or take away. All products are prepared on-site, in front of the customer, by experts.

In 2011, Pingo Doce was one of the first operators to invest in the sushi business within the food distribution sector in Portugal. With this partnership, Pingo Doce aims to give a new boost to this business area and accelerate the opening of more kiosks throughout 2019.

El Corte Inglés is celebrating 25 years in Portugal with the launch of a commemorative collection developed in partnership with national brands and an advertising campaign featuring 66 employees. These initiatives precede the anniversary of the opening of the brand's first department stores in the country, on November 23, 2001, which also marked the beginning of the Spanish group's international expansion.
