Europastry has invested 30 million euros in expanding its factory in Sarral (Tarragona), creating a new premium pre-fermented pastry line equipped with the most advanced technology for producing high-end pastries, according to the company itself.
This new line has a production capacity of 18 tons per year, which allows the factory's production to increase by 33%, reaching 73 tons per year.
Furthermore, as part of this project, Europastry also wants to reinforce its commitment to the environment, thanks to the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant with a treatment capacity of 380 cubic meters per day, increasing capacity by 316%.
The Sarral factory opened in 1992 with three pastry production lines. Over the last six years, Europastry has invested more than €44 million in additions and improvements to the factory facilities.
Currently, the factory has over 400 employees, nine production lines, and a production capacity of 55 tons per year, in addition to the 18 tons from the new premium pre-fermented pastry line.
