Álvaro Alberdi will now lead Revolut Business's growth in Southern Europe and Latin America, strategic regions for the fintech company.

Revolut has appointed Álvaro Alberdi as Head of Business Growth for Southern Europe and Latin America, reinforcing its strategy of expanding its business-focused division.

In his new role, Álvaro Alberdi will be responsible for acquisition strategy, partnership development, regional marketing, and go-to-market initiatives. The goal is to increase Revolut Business 's presence among companies of different sizes and accelerate the adoption of the platform in both markets.

According to the company, Revolut Business allows businesses to centralize financial operations such as payments, treasury management, currency exchange, and expenses on a single platform.

International experience

Álvaro Alberdi joins Revolut with experience in the technology and payments sectors, having developed his career in areas related to retail, travel, restaurants and hospitality.

Before joining the fintech company, she held positions such as Global Head of Marketing at Planet, where she led the company's expansion in the EMEA region. She was also Vice President of Global Marketing at TrustYou and Director of Demand Generation at Cloudbeds, both technology companies focused on the hospitality and restaurant sector.

Álvaro Alberdi began his professional career in the digital marketing area of ​​ALSA, a Spanish passenger transport company.

The appointment comes at a time of growth for Revolut Business. The platform currently has over 140 businesses in Southern Europe and more than 800 business customers globally.

According to the company, the Business area currently represents 16% of the group's global revenue and is one of the main pillars of Revolut's growth strategy.

The fintech company has set a goal of reaching one million business clients by 2027, reinforcing its commitment to the business segment and the international expansion of its platform.
