Primavera invests 2,5 million euros in new solutions to optimize logistics management.

Primavera announces a new commitment to the logistics sector, both for companies whose main activity is warehousing and distribution, and for companies with more specific inventory and warehouse management needs, through the launch of version 10 of the Primavera ERP and the Eye Peak solution.

A new ERP module (v10) entirely developed to simplify inventory and warehouse management operations, a new technological platform that will simplify cloud adoption, and the evolution of the Eye Peak Warehouse Management Software (WMS) solution represent an investment of 2,5 million euros.

The new version of Primavera ERP represents the biggest technological overhaul ever made to Primavera ERP, also including the redesign of the entire inventory area. V10 is a hybrid system that naturally connects cloud and on-premises solutions, allowing for a complete fusion of data from installed solutions with web applications. This makes it more competitive for companies with demanding logistics operations seeking a complete management solution that includes all logistics processes within the software, while also accelerating the digitalization of organizations that still use more traditional systems.

With a view to increasing the functional scope of the logistics management area specifically, V10 includes a new inventory module, which incorporates a robust costing infrastructure and includes features that ensure complete consistency in integration with accounting, such as cost price calculation mechanisms, a new inventory accounting model, inventory costing management in multiple currencies, a new inventory status management model, and new mechanisms to support the receipt and dispatch of goods.

In parallel, the evolution of the WMS solution – Eye Peak v10 – now integrates the issuance of certified waybills and presents an improved version from the point of view of user experience, also bringing new functionalities aimed at increasing the productivity of warehouse operations. Integrated stock management from different owners is one of the new functionalities designed to provide greater support to logistics operators and business groups.

According to David Afonso, Senior Vice President of Primavera, “ this is a truly historic moment for Primavera. We have done a great job rebuilding over eight million lines of code, which have been migrated to a more modern technology capable of supporting the technological innovations that are on the horizon. Version 10 of the ERP and Eye Peak brings the future with it, allowing companies to work symbiotically and in perfect harmony between the applications installed on their servers and additional capabilities from the cloud . In this investment effort, we also wanted to offer better solutions to the logistics sector, which is very competitive. These new versions respond to the current challenges of digitalization, ensuring complete management for medium and large-sized companies working in the tradable goods sector ,” concludes the executive.
