Oney Bank presents the new Oney Auchan+ credit card, the latest version of what was "the first credit card in the country associated with the retail sector, the former Jumbo Mais card, which has existed since 1994" . Currently with greater usage, as it now also integrates the Visa and Multibanco networks, thus allowing consumers more choice, the new card is more sustainable and stands out for its digital component by featuring "contactless" technology.

The digital card can be used immediately online and added to the MB WAY, Google Pay, and Apple Pay digital wallets, also including more remote management features in digital channels.

Existing Oney Auchan cardholders will be able to benefit from a new paperless and multichannel shopping experience, transitioning progressively and automatically to the new Oney Auchan+ card. New customers can sign up at Auchan stores or access the Oney website directly and complete a 100% digital and paperless onboarding process.

For use inside and outside Auchan stores.

The new card can be used for purchases inside and outside Auchan stores. In the latter case, in addition to allowing payments in 3, 6 or 12 monthly installments, it also offers 3% cashback on credit purchases "in categories important for day-to-day family management, allowing cash withdrawals, transfers, service payments and payments to the State" . It also offers greater robustness in terms of security for online purchases through strong authentication via MB WAY (3D Secure protocol).

Direct access to the Auchan Club

Other advantages associated with the card at Auchan stores include direct access to the Auchan Club via a QR code on the back of the card and doubling of points when using the card, the possibility of earning cashback to use on purchases at these stores, discount vouchers at Auchan fuel stations, and exclusive installment payment options from 3 to 36 months (physical stores and at auchan.pt).

Produced with recycled plastic, the Oney Auchan+ card reflects one of the top priorities of both brands: making operations as sustainable as possible. Oney has been part of the Merece program since October 2023, and since joining, it has collected 18 kilograms of cards, which have been destroyed and sent for recycling. These cards will then be given a new life in the manufacture of street furniture, as well as contributing to the planting of trees and, consequently, the removal of CO2 emissions from the atmosphere.
