With the motto "Never Stop Growing," Fnac celebrates its 20th anniversary in Portugal with the release of a manifesto that celebrates the evolution of the Portuguese people through culture, entertainment, and technology.
To give voice to this manifesto, Fnac brought together Portuguese collaborators, artists, and authors in an ode to curiosity, the experience of Fnac spaces, accessibility, and the products that have influenced customer growth in recent years. Adolfo Luxúria Canibal, Ana Maria Magalhães and Isabel Alçada, Camané, João Pedro Pais, Júlio Magalhães, Richard Zimler, and Valter Hugo Mãe, who at certain points in Fnac's history were godparents to new stores, were invited to recite this manifesto.
It was on a Saturday, February 28, 1998, that Fnac opened its first store in Portugal. The Colombo Shopping Centre in Lisbon hosted, at the time, the first store of a project that brought together books, music, films, and other cultural and entertainment products in a single space. 20 years later, Fnac has 30 stores, covering a large part of the national territory. These include fnac.pt , the country's first e-commerce website, launched in 1999. There are more than 1.500 employees.
“ 'Never Stop Growing' is a manifesto that we publicly endorse because it's a way of valuing our history in this country where so much has changed for the better, without taking our eyes off the future, maintaining the same irreverence and curiosity that marked the early days ,” says Inês Condeço, Marketing and Communications Director of FNAC Portugal.
The manifesto “Never Stop Growing” can be seen and heard in a campaign celebrating 20 years in Portugal across digital media, radio, and Fnac stores.
