Sociedade Ponto Verde launches free training for teachers on recycling.

Sociedade Ponto Verde (SPV) will launch a free online training course on packaging recycling aimed at teachers and educators, as part of the Ponto Verde Academy.

The initiative, announced on Teacher's Day, aims to strengthen the role of the educational community in promoting environmental literacy and transforming learning into behaviors related to recycling.

The training will take place throughout the 2026/27 school year, and teachers and educators are now open to expressing their interest.

Academia Ponto Verde aims to reach 50 students.

Created in 2019 to bring the topic of packaging recycling closer to schools, the Ponto Verde Academy has been expanding its reach among students and teachers.

In the 2025/26 school year, the project reached over 38 students. For 2026/27, SPV aims to reach 50 students, representing a growth of approximately 36%.

The strategy involves engaging a growing number of schools, children, and young people, and strengthening the availability of content and tools that can be used in an educational context.

SPV emphasizes that teachers play a central role in linking the content learned in the classroom with the behaviors adopted by students in their daily lives.

“Teachers play an essential role in how children and young people understand the world and learn to participate in it ,” says Ana Trigo Morais, CEO of Sociedade Ponto Verde.

According to the official, the objective is to recognize the contribution of teachers in promoting environmental education and packaging recycling, valuing the impact that this work can also have on families and communities.
