Paying tribute to all the healthcare professionals on the front lines fighting Covid-19 was the reason Super Bock Free (non-alcoholic) launched a special edition of this beer, temporarily called Super Doc.
This new special pack, a tribute to healthcare professionals, will be available from the first week of May and will allow the production of a new volume of disinfectant hand sanitizer to be delivered to hospital units, thus expanding its distribution to other areas of the country. It should be noted that Super Bock's non-alcoholic beer is produced through a dealcoholization process, which has enabled the brand to produce disinfectant hand sanitizer offered to hospital units, in support of the National Health Service (SNS) and in coordination with the Northern Regional Health Administration (ARS Norte).
To date, through the partnership with the Levira Distillery, it has been possible to produce approximately 18 liters of 70% alcohol hand sanitizer from the 30% alcohol liquor left over from the Super Bock Non-Alcoholic beer production process. This disinfectant product has already been distributed to around 12 hospitals and healthcare facilities in Coimbra, Aveiro, and Porto.
The Super Doc edition, whose name is inspired by "Doctor," will have a digital campaign #SuperDoc under the motto "For those who leave everything behind to be on the front line," in order to express support for all healthcare professionals (from assistants, nurses, administrative staff, doctors, paramedics, technicians, and everyone else), and will be available nationwide from the beginning of May.
