STADA Portugal has expanded its portfolio of Consumer Healthcare products available through Portuguese pharmacies by acquiring the Mitosyl brand from Sanofi.
The Mitosyl range offers daily care for delicate areas and protection against diaper rash in the form of an ointment, Mitosyl Protective Ointment, to prevent redness and irritation.
Mitosyl complements the range of topical brands offered by STADA Portugal, which includes Elmetacin, Hirudoid, Mobilisin, and Nizoral. This range is part of an even larger group of products accessible to pharmacies and their users, encompassing brands such as Mebocaine, Venoruton, and Heperpoll. “ The acquisition of the Mitosyl brand further reinforces STADA Portugal's role as a leading supplier of highly relevant Consumer Healthcare brands for pharmacies and parapharmacies in Portugal ,” comments Tiago Baleizão, general manager of STADA Portugal. “ Mitosyl already benefits from notable brand recognition in several European countries, and STADA Portugal intends to increase orders from pharmacies with specific and effective promotional support .”
Acquisition
Mitosyl arrived at STADA Portugal on October 1st through the acquisition from the Sanofi group, initiated by STADA global, of 16 well-established Consumer Healthcare brands locally and regionally, in countries mostly in Europe, including France, Germany, Italy, Poland and Spain.
