Smurfit Kappa will be present at the next edition of Fruit Attraction, which will be held in person at IFEMA from October 5th to 7th, where it will showcase everything its Agri Experience Centre can do for producers, distributors, and retailers.
A pioneering and unique center in Europe, dedicated exclusively to the fresh fruit and vegetable sector, allows the company to work with each of its clients to find the most suitable sustainable packaging solution and improvement opportunities that offer the most value to their businesses.
According to the press release, " all participants at the fair will be able to discover firsthand how they can save money at every step of the logistics chain and which corrugated cardboard packaging is best suited to their business and product ."
Smurfit Kappa will present innovations, such as the Goliath tray which, thanks to its conical design, absorbs the deformation caused by the fruit, improving loading efficiency, allowing for perfect stacking, reducing its weight by 50% compared to other types of packaging, optimizing fruit preservation and reinforcing the brand image.

Also present will be the P84/13 Double Conical, whose design promotes 360-degree air circulation to the interior and ensures that the product arrives fresh and intact at the point of sale. In addition, it occupies less space, is more durable, emits less CO2 into the environment, and generates less waste.
Not forgetting the automatic Box8, the first and only agricultural box for bulk products that is 100% assembled on a machine. Manufactured from a single recycled material, it requires less cardboard surface, improves brand image and prevents deformation.
Biodegradable solutions
Sustainability will also play a significant role at the Smurfit Kappa stand, with alternative solutions to non-biodegradable ones, such as those in the Safe&Green range, a portfolio of boxes for fresh agricultural products featuring fully customizable designs that are 100% renewable, recyclable, and biodegradable.

Safe&Green Range
Also on display are AgroPaper, a sustainable and biodegradable solution for agricultural mulch, and BanaBag, which protects banana crops. Participants will also be able to discover new products for fruit e-commerce, such as mangoes or avocados, or displays that make a difference at the point of sale.
Agri Experience Center
Jesús Rivas, Director of Innovation and Business Development at Smurfit Kappa Spain, Portugal and Morocco, indicates that “ the Agri Experience Centre has become a benchmark in the agricultural industry in Europe, thanks to its capacity for innovation, its cutting-edge technology and a team of experienced professionals who help our clients increase their sales, reduce costs and mitigate supply chain risks. An innovation center that, moreover, allows them to stand out in such a competitive market. That is why we wanted it to be present at this edition of Fruit Attraction, after such a difficult period as the one we are going through, which has forced the sector to reinvent itself. At Smurfit Kappa, we are dedicated to offering you sustainable packaging solutions that allow you to save throughout the value chain, but without compromising product quality and protection .”
