Quinta da Alorna Creations is the new wine brand from Quinta da Alorna, distinguished by its irreverence, superior quality, and product exclusivity.

Quinta da Alorna's commitment is realized after the investment, in 2020, in Wine Creations, the winemaking center that combines creativity and inspiration with knowledge.

The investment, which amounted to 250.000 euros, is now materializing in the marketing of original and unique limited-edition wines, developed and produced at Wine Creations, under the direction of Martta Reis Simões, the winemaking director of the Almeirim estate.

Amphorae 2023 is the first release from the Quinta da Alorna Creations brand and is now available on the market. For sale are 813 numbered bottles of a wine that originates in an antique clay amphora from the Quinta da Alorna estate.

“ Quinta da Alorna Creations is the result of our ambition, our desire to innovate, and the ability of all the teams involved to make things happen. We are confident that this first launch will allow us to reach a niche segment and continue to elevate the name of Quinta da Alorna and Tejo wines in Portugal and beyond ,” says Pedro Lufinha, general manager of Quinta da Alorna.

Amphorae 2023

Quinta da Alorna presents the first wine of its new brand: Amphorae 2023. Irreverent, this wine, which combines ancestry with knowledge, results from grapes grown in sand undergoing skin maceration and then evolving in clay.

Produced from Alvarinho and Fernão Pires grapes, Amphorae 2023 presents a well-defined and transparent aroma where pure aromas of clay and orange, peach, and aromatic herbs stand out simultaneously. The palate is full-bodied and textured, with a concise and vibrant acidity. The finish sees refreshing clay notes again over a background of dried fruit, lingering on the palate.

The wine, which originates from an ancient clay amphora kept in the old museum of Quinta da Alorna, naturally benefited from the qualities of the raw clay amphora, imparting minerality and authenticity.
