Herdade das Servas opens restaurant with traditional cuisine.

Carlos and Luís Serrano Mira, owners of Herdade das Servas, are taking another step in the development of their project with the opening of a full-time restaurant.

Located on the property, more specifically in the building housing the winery, cellar, wine shop, and offices of Herdade das Servas, the Herdade das Servas Restaurant is open every day for lunch and dinner, except Tuesdays. Operating under a concession agreement, Paulo Baía is the entrepreneur in charge of this new project, assuming not only ownership but also the role of head waiter. The kitchen is overseen by his sister, chef Maria da Fé Baía.

Meals can be ordered à la carte or by choosing one of the two available menus: Wine Pairing and Tasting Menu.

Herdade das Servas has just launched the “Herdade das Servas Reserva Tinto 2011”, available at a recommended retail price of €18,16. The “Herdade das Servas Reserva Tinto 2011” is a blend of Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional, Aragonez and Petit Verdot grapes.

“ An excellent suggestion to accompany 'Breaded Lamb Chops', 'Beef Wellington', a typical Alentejo 'Cured Sheep Cheese' or even a 'Golden Soup' for dessert, dishes that can be enjoyed at the Herdade das Servas Restaurant ”, says the statement.

The newest member of the Herdade das Servas “family” was also presented: the “Herdade das Servas Alicante Bouschet Reserva red 2011”. Available in 750ml bottles, with a recommended retail price of €15,13, or in cases of three and four bottles, with recommended retail prices of €50 and €70,63 respectively, it will soon be on sale throughout the country, in restaurants and in wine shops and stores.
