Under the slogan "Let's turn off the tap," the Águas de Portugal Group and the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA), in partnership with the Water and Waste Services Regulatory Authority and with funding from the Environmental Fund of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Action, are launching a communication campaign.
The goal is to raise awareness of the importance of reducing consumption and using water efficiently in the context of the drought currently affecting Portugal.
Exploring the concept of "time," the multi-media campaign reinforces that a tap left running for one minute can waste up to 12 liters of water, enough to meet the basic daily needs of one million Portuguese people. "One minute a day, let's turn off the tap to avoid drought" is the main appeal of the awareness messages that will be disseminated through outdoor advertising, print media, digital media, and social networks.
" We don't control the weather, but we can control what we do with it, and together, we can mobilize to address the urgent need to stop the drought, " is the appeal from the organizations in this campaign.
