DHL Express has just updated its On Demand Delivery (ODD) shipment management service offering, aimed at shippers and recipients of parcels, in order to improve their online shopping experience.
The new version of the ODD shipment management service has a new feature – Receiver Registration – allowing the customer receiving the order to register on the platform and define their delivery preferences, which are automatically applied to their future deliveries. This makes the process of managing shipments and customer delivery preferences more agile and simplified. “ In the e-commerce delivery market, more than 90% of consumers analyze the available delivery options before checkout, and their decision is influenced by delivery speed, flexibility, and ease. On Demand Delivery keeps recipients constantly informed about the shipment status, allowing them to reschedule, redirect, or conveniently pick up their orders at one of the DHL ServicePoints network stores. With this new feature, we aim to improve our customers' experience and, in this way, make the service even more agile and practical, meeting their expectations and needs ,” says Luís Carlos Silva, Electronic Shipping Solutions Manager at DHL Express Portugal.
In addition to being easy to use and optimized for mobile devices, the ODD service offers up to six standardized delivery options, allowing customers to receive notifications, via email or text message, about the progress of their order delivery.
Launched in Portugal in November 2016, ODD is available in 45 languages and reaches more than 165 countries.
