Delta Coffee House Experience has partnered with Portuguese artist Diogo Machado, known as Add Fuel, to launch a new special edition of the Wonder Coffee line. The result of this collaboration is the "Out of the Blue Latte".
Inspired by the aesthetics of Portuguese tilework, the initiative aims to celebrate the encounter between coffee, contemporary art, and national culture.
Art-inspired blue plant-based latte
Wonder Coffee #03, “Out of the Blue Latte”, is presented as a blue-colored plant-based latte . It is made from spirulina , a natural ingredient recognized for its antioxidant, energizing, and nutritional properties.
The beverage seeks to combine gastronomic innovation and cultural heritage, visually translating the artistic universe of Add Fuel. Additionally, it creates a unique experience for consumers at Delta Coffee House Experience stores.
The collaboration also includes an exclusive artwork signed by the artist. The tile “AZ562 (KNOWLEDGE AND FLAVOR)” reinterprets the Portuguese tradition of tilework with the contemporary visual language characteristic of Add Fuel.
The work is inspired by the world of coffee and the Flower Festivals of Campo Maior.
According to Clara Melícias, director of the Delta Coffee House Experience stores, this partnership aims to strengthen the connection between coffee and culture. “This partnership stems from a shared vision: to celebrate our culture through detail, creativity, and reinvention. Together, we have transformed deeply Portuguese elements, coffee and azulejo tiles, into a unique experience that combines tradition and innovation.”
Diogo Machado highlights the sensory nature of the project. “Blue is part of my visual language and how I interpret the tradition of Portuguese tiles. In this project, it was interesting to transport it to the world of coffee and see how art can become a sensory experience.”
