DB Schenker announces the launch of its connect 4 air platform in Portugal and Spain, following the success of connect 4 land in both countries and connect 4 ocean in Spain. The tool complements the company's digitalization strategy and reinforces its commitment to the online channel, where it already leads in bookings at the European level.
Following the successful launch of connect 4 land, focused on logistics and land transport management, along with connect 4 air, the company aims to generate a large portion of its revenue from the online channel in the coming years. “ Being able to offer customers a simple platform with immediate access to service and pricing has been possible, among other factors, thanks to our own export consolidation services from our gateways in the Iberian Peninsula, giving the user a fantastic experience ,” explains Pedro Tierno, Head of Airfreight and Customs Iberia Cluster at DB Schenker.
Transparent, door-to-door air traffic
Connect 4 Air provides DB Schenker customers with immediate information on quotes and schedules, adapting the results to the needs of each individual order and allowing for simple and intuitive management with just a few clicks.
Door-to-door air transit processes, for both large and small volumes, and offering the customer the possibility of tracking their goods at all times, are possible in an agile manner between countries around the world, thanks to this tool, while keeping the company's operational teams 100% available to handle special issues and requests.
“ All companies, and especially small and medium-sized enterprises, can benefit from obtaining an immediate and dynamic air freight service and price based on their needs, as well as being able to track their cargo at any time via the web. No waiting, no delays, easy and fast. That's what connect 4 air is all about ,” adds Pedro Tierno.
