Dalva, 50 Years Old, Very Old, White

Dalva 50 Years Very Old White arrives on the market with a limited edition of 250 bottles.

The year begins with a new offering: the launch of Dalva 50 Years Very Old White, a Port wine that reflects the historical heritage of the C. da Silva house. The richness in very old white wines, combined with the expertise of this brand with over a hundred years of history, has resulted in a Port of remarkable complexity and refinement.

With winemaking by José Manuel Sousa Soares, this Dalva 50 Years Very Old White was made with the finest white wines aged in casks for varying periods in the Dalva cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia.

The blend was carefully prepared to create a wine with a 50-year-old profile, elegant and rich, where its golden color and aromas of spices and dried fruit stand out. On the nose, it reveals notes of crystallized citrus fruit, curry, dried herbs, toasted almond, with a slight touch of iodine. On the palate, the "toffee" notes perceived in the aroma reappear, combined with a spicy and peppery sensation. With a pleasant sweetness, coupled with rich acidity, it reveals a long and unctuous finish, with the intensity of a rare wine that, in itself, provides a unique experience.

With a limited batch of just 250 bottles per year, Dalva 50 Years Very Old White is now on the market with a suggested retail price of €325.

It is available in the main wine shops throughout the country, at Espaço Porto Cruz in Vila Nova de Gaia, at Mercearia de Ventozelo in the Douro region, and also in the group's online store.
