Locky, the new company of the CTT Group, and Minipreço have established a partnership to install 48 lockers in various supermarkets across the country by the end of this month. The lockers are public and available every day during store opening hours, thus reinforcing the commitment to proximity and convenience.
According to Francisco Travassos, CEO of Locky, “ we remain strongly committed to being close to our customers and simplifying the daily lives of those who shop online. This partnership with Minipreço reinforces our goal of having a wide and convenient network of lockers, accessible to everyone, regardless of their geographical location .”
Ricardo Torres Assunção, Marketing and Communications Director at DIA Portugal, states that “ our commitment to our customers involves investing in innovative and functional means that promote their convenience, further reinforcing our commitment to proximity with the communities we serve. Furthermore, the implementation of Locky lockers through our partnership with CTT is aligned with the pillars of transformation we are currently undertaking at DIA Portugal, which are part of our sustainability plan for the period 2021-2023, focusing on increasing innovation in various categories where we want to continue investing in a fully modern and integrated proximity network .”
Locky Lockers
The availability of Locky lockers allows for simple and convenient order reception, and the entire network is accessible and intuitive. Users decide, at the time of online purchase, whether they wish to receive their order in an identified Locky locker and, after the item is deposited, they set a collection date. The interface with the recipient is simple and based on sending a secret code, via SMS or email, which will allow them to interact with the Locky locker and receive their order.
By making Locky lockers available through this partnership with CTT, Minipreço is not only facilitating access to its customers' daily orders, but also pursuing its commitment to sustainability by promoting the reduction of vehicle dispersion in urban environments and carbon emissions.
