Locky, the new locker company from the CTT Group, and Galp have partnered to install around 90 lockers at various service stations across the country.
All lockers are public, and in this way, Locky and Galp are now offering an exclusive service to their customers and employees, as well as to the surrounding local community.
Locky allows for worry-free, simple, and convenient delivery of packages in lockers of different sizes and compartments, so customers can receive a wide variety of items. According to Francisco Travassos, CEO of Locky, “ we want to offer the most convenient solution to our customers, and this partnership reinforces our commitment to simplifying how online shoppers receive their packages. This partnership with Galp strengthens our presence and proximity to customers, with a broad national network, in partnership with a strong Portuguese brand known to the Portuguese people .”
Locky
CTT lockers are now Locky. The new brand already has over 350 lockers available, located in various parts of the country, including retail chains, supermarkets, shopping centers, university campuses, intermodal transport platforms, parking lots, hospitals, and service stations.
Using the locker network is simple. Recipients decide when they are buying online whether they want to receive their order in a locker, identifying the most convenient option for them, and after the item is deposited, they decide when they will pick it up. The interface with the recipient is based on sending a secret code via SMS and email, allowing them to interact with the locker and receive their order.
In addition to all the advantages they offer customers, Locky lockers also have an environmental aspect, which is also one of the company's core principles. The final distribution has a consolidating effect that reduces the dispersion of delivery vehicles in urban environments. As a single locker allows delivery to multiple recipients, it avoids the need to travel to various homes.
Following the brand's strong commitment at the Iberian level, Locky aims to install one thousand lockers by the end of this year, thus having the largest and most widespread network nationwide.
