Albert Heinz, a chain owned by Ahold Delhaize, has created a smart card to bypass checkout counters.
Implemented in AH To Go stores, this is a system called "Tab, grab and go," which links the "Tab to go" card to the electronic product tags displayed on the shelves and the customer's bank account.
simplistic method
The method for using this tool is very simple: the customer must register on the application created by the company. Once in the supermarket, the visitor only has to touch the electronic tag of the product they wish to purchase and remove it from the shelf. In this way, all purchases will be added to their virtual shopping cart.
Once the purchases are made, the customer can leave the store without going through the checkout, as the amount will be withdrawn from their bank account associated with the smart card 10 minutes after completing the purchase.
