The evolution to a new brand reflects a market that currently extends far beyond cargo transportation, encompassing a vertical logistics or "supply chain" context.
Abreu Logistics, a company within the Abreu Group, a benchmark in the travel and tourism industry with a history dating back to 1840, inherits experience in cargo transport management with specific expertise since 1950. Its growth in the freight forwarding market and its three branches (air, sea, and road) led to the business becoming independent in 1994.
At the turn of the millennium, internationalization emerged naturally, anchored in the Portuguese-speaking axis of Portugal-Brazil-Angola and supported by a significant network of partners worldwide. Since 1980, Abreu has been the market leader in Portugal in terms of air cargo.
The Abreu Logistics brand emerges at a time of consolidation for the company, with average growth exceeding 20% in the last three years alone.
It is important to highlight the ongoing investment in new technological solutions, which will continue until 2020, to strengthen all business segments and expand the service portfolio, including, first and foremost, land transport in Europe, with the opening of specific services for countries such as Italy, England, Poland and Germany.
