Spar International has entered Kazakhstan with the opening of its first Eurospar supermarket in Almaty.
The license to operate the brand in the country was granted to Skif Trade LLP, a local retail and distribution company.
New store
According to Spar, the new store, spanning approximately 2.400 square meters, is modern and offers a range of products tailored to customer needs.
Spar International supported the local development team with design, marketing and communication campaigns and access to international best retail practices.
This first Eurospar supermarket in Kazakhstan represents the reconversion of a small shop that previously operated at the same location. The impact of the reconversion was immediately clear, with turnover exceeding pre-relaunch figures by 250%, according to Spar.
