The Domus Capital Group, owner of, among others, the Quinas beer brand, has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Ets Mariano, one of the most important French importers of food and beverage products produced in Portugal.
The Mariano Group thus assumes the exclusive import and distribution of the Domus Capital Group's brand portfolio in France, with this partnership expected to represent more than one million liters of Quinas beer sold.
The signing of this distribution agreement between Domus Capital and the Mariano Group ensures, in the first phase, the consolidation of sales of the flagship brand and the introduction of the rest of the Domus Capital Group's portfolio into the French market.
Mariano Group
With a presence in France since 1985, the Mariano Group exclusively imports and distributes the Domus Capital Group's brands in this market, after identifying "great potential for acceptance of the brands and their products by their target audience, expecting to achieve a significant sales volume, particularly for Quinas beer."
The Mariano Group is one of the largest players in the French market, exclusively representing major Iberian brands. “I see more and more French people buying Portuguese food products. More and more French people are visiting Portugal, spending long periods of time there, and in doing so, they discover our products,” says Victor Mariano, founder of the Mariano Group. “The ‘nostalgia market’ has become diluted in French society, and we have to be attentive to these natural phenomena, because we have the quality.”
The Mariano Group owns wholesale warehouses for distribution and retail stores, where the Quinas brand will now be present, as well as an extensive range of soft drinks, namely Sumovite, Indian 98 and Boa Vida, and spirits such as Sogra, Ginja do Paço and RGP gin. “This investment confirms the maturity and rigorous commitment that identifies with the group's profile. Quinas beer will be well represented through this partnership, and there is mutual confidence in being a cohesive team in achieving results. We aim to have a significant market share in France and prove our resilience and position among the best-selling Portuguese brands abroad. France will be part of Quinas' selection of key countries for the brand in the coming years,” says Sérgio Duarte, CEO of Domus da Capital.
