Nestlé strengthens production in Latin America.

Nestlé is strengthening its position in Argentina following a €10,6 million investment in a production line in Villa Nueva, which will allow it to start manufacturing liquid milk.

The investment was allocated to the acquisition of a new sterilization unit, the incorporation of chick technology, the adaptation of the packaging line, the renovation of existing boilers and the refrigeration system, and the implementation of an automated warehouse.

The amount allocated to this unit is part of a local investment plan worth €111,8 million, implemented over the last four years. The new line allows for the annual production of 10 million liters of liquid products using UHT technology and will allow Nestlé to expand its presence in the sector, producing liquid versions of products from the Nesquik, Nido, and NAN brands. “ We are announcing our entry into the liquids market, with value-added products to boost commercial growth, promote exports, and pioneer new projects, such as organic milk ,” says Gian Carlo Aubry, CEO and president of Nestlé in Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay.
