Nestlé enters the super premium chocolate category.

Nestlé announces its entry into the global super-premium chocolate market with the Swiss chocolate brand Cailler, which has been around for almost 200 years.

Founded by François-Louis Cailler in 1819, the oldest Swiss chocolate brand has Amazon as its primary retailer, and has already planned its entry into selected markets in the US, Europe and Asia.

According to Nestlé, still produced in its original factory in Broc, 'Maison Cailler', Cailler chocolate uses milk from local producers and the highest quality cocoa, integrated into the Nestlé Cocoa Plan project.

With four different boxes, in small or large sizes, and eight varieties of bars, Cailler chocolates will be available for purchase through Amazon in the US, UK and Germany, as well as through retailers located in major airports such as Geneva, Zurich, Dubai and Singapore.

In November, the brand will also make available a fifth variety of chocolates, which will be launched in the Chinese market for the first time.

Within the new super premium category, the Cailler product range will feature a new design, handcrafted by Swiss artisan Marianne Dubuis, who will incorporate the Swiss art of paper cutting into the packaging silhouette and tell the brand's story.

“ We are very proud to be able to introduce Cailler to the rest of the world ,” says Sandra Martinez, Director of Nestlé’s global Chocolate business. “ This product embodies all the characteristics of a super-premium product – high quality with a unique history and brand image. We believe it has great potential globally. ”
