Montiqueijo renews IFS Food certification.

The Montiqueijo cheese factory has renewed its certification, which is reviewed annually, with the aim of ensuring that "procedures, control methods and food safety remain at the highest level".

The IFS Food (International Featured Standard Food) certification, recognized by SGS, reaffirms the company's commitment, which since 2008 has sought to guarantee " the quality and rigor of the production of its products".

Montiqueijo has been investing in equipment that guarantees control over its product from the source, since, when producing its raw material, it seeks to monitor and guarantee the quality of the entire circuit, from the production of the cereal that feeds its cows to the packaging of the cheeses.

This path charted by Montiqueijo aims to meet the demands of a discerning market and a consumer who prioritizes certified quality products.

“The awarding of this certificate is a result of the effort of the entire team, which rigorously ensures compliance with all procedures that guarantee our certification. There is a significant investment in the traceability of the entire production circuit, which begins with the cultivation of the cows' feed, continues through animal welfare, and extends throughout the process of collecting, pasteurizing, and analyzing the raw material (milk) for the manufacture of our cheeses. Only in this way can we place a product of high quality and maximum reliability on the market ,” comments Dina Duarte, general manager of Montiqueijo.
