The McVities brand presents a special Christmas innovation, already available at retailers and in hot beverage brochures: the McVities Victoria box.

The Victoria boxIt brings the best of the Christmas season to the Portuguese market, as it consists of an indulgent selection of McVities biscuits for all tastes.", it states in a press release.

This 300-gram box is on the market at a recommended retail price of €4,99. It contains milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and white chocolate biscuits, available in fully coated, plain, or half-coated versions.

Digestive Biscuits

The McVities brand originated with the launch of Digestive biscuits. These biscuits were originally developed by two Scottish doctors in 1839, and, due to their sodium bicarbonate content, were believed to have digestive aid properties. Today, they are the best-selling biscuits in the United Kingdom, recognized as the number one biscuit to accompany hot drinks such as tea and coffee.

An example of its reputation and quality is the fact that the McVities brand has been making cakes for royal weddings, such as the wedding cake of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip Mountbatten, which was over 2,5 meters tall.

Currently, the brand is part of the Pladis Group, which owns other English biscuit brands such as Carr's and Jacobs. In Portugal, the brand is distributed by JMDB – Representação e Distribuição de Marcas.
