Lidl advances payments to suppliers through a confirming line.

Lidl Portugal, in partnership with Banco Santander, is launching a solution aimed at contributing to the liquidity of its national suppliers by advancing their payments, thus ensuring their cash flow.

This solution – Global Confirming – allows for the early payment of invoices, “without any limit, in a fair and flexible way, without suppliers having to have an account open at Banco Santander, without consuming credit lines and with an interest rate lower than traditional financing options”.

According to Sérgio Ramos, financial director of Lidl Portugal, “supporting our partners is very important to us, so we are always looking for ways to contribute so that our suppliers work with us in the long term, and to that end, it is essential to support them in the current unfavorable context we are going through. We believe that this solution will certainly be of great help, given its flexibility . ”

Minimum deduction

“In addition to the advantageous conditions, there are no membership, annual or additional fees or commissions ,” Lidl states. There will be a one-time cost if the supplier chooses to prepay invoices. In this case, a minimum deduction will be applied, calculated based on the number of days remaining until the invoice due date.
