LG has just launched a new 27-inch UltraFine™ Display (model 27MD5KL) which, together with the 24-inch UltraFine 4K monitor (model 24MD4KL), offers consumers two monitors designed specifically for Apple's latest products.
Designed to boost productivity levels, the LG UltraFine 5K features the latest connectivity options. Supporting Thunderbolt 3 and USB Type-C, the monitor is the perfect complement to the latest Mac notebooks and desktops, as well as the iPad Pro. The LG 5K monitor allows users to set up a versatile Mac workstation, combining video, audio, and data transfer through a single cable. And, thanks to its 94 watts of power, the UltraFine 5K can also charge any device with a USB-C input, such as a Mac or iPad.
Designed to meet the needs of creative designers, photographers, and video editors, the LG UltraFine 5K is a superior widescreen solution, offering a high level of detail and color accuracy. It boasts a wide P3 color gamut and 500 nits of brightness, generating optimized images without the need for calibration. The 218 pixels per inch (PPI) monitor results in over 14,7 million pixels, enabling realistic image rendering and crisp text when viewing multiple windows and tools simultaneously. The built-in camera, microphone, and stereo speakers offer a rich multimedia experience.
With a highly convenient user experience and maximum comfort in mind, the LG UltraFine 5K features adjustable height and tilt. Compatibility with macOS Mojave 10.14.6 and iOS 12.4 allows users to control brightness and volume via the Touch Bar or MacBook Pro keyboard. Additionally, the monitor's ambient light sensor automatically adjusts screen brightness when connected to a Mac.
The LG UltraFine 4K monitor, with a 23,7-inch screen – 10% larger than the previous version – allows users to have a similarly realistic color experience and full coverage of the P3 color gamut and 500 nits of brightness. The monitor's build quality, design, and connectivity enhance users' ability to explore their creativity. With a Mac, the Thunderbolt 3 ports can be used to connect two 4K displays.
“ The first LG UltraFine series was well received by creative professionals due to its exceptional performance and convenience ,” says Jang Ik-hwan, Head of LG’s IT Business division. “ The ease of use, seamless integration, and impressive image quality make the LG UltraFine a great option for Apple users .”
