KLOG, a 100% Portuguese-owned logistics and transport company, has established a partnership with Transaher, a Spanish group with 25 years of experience and a distribution network with 38 hubs in Spain.
With this agreement, the entities strengthen ties and begin to function as an integrated distribution network, sharing faster and more efficient transport plans. “ This agreement with Transaher aligns with our objective of expanding the KLOG brand in priority and strategic foreign markets. This partnership will allow us to support our clients' exports to the Spanish market, guaranteeing reduced transit times and increased service efficiency ,” says José Cardoso, KLOG's director.
With this partnership, KLOG expects to increase its business in the Iberian market by approximately €3,5 million within two years, with Spain representing 10% of the company's total revenue, compared to its current 5%. In total, the two entities have over 150 contracts per month in the Iberian market, with more than 440 vehicles operating daily in the Iberian Peninsula, which will allow for a service quality rate (meeting delivery deadlines) exceeding 98%.
The agreement allows KLOG to develop, together with its clients, exports to the Spanish market on a groupage basis and consolidate daily shipments to the neighboring country, with delivery times of 24 and 48 hours. KLOG also intends to boost domestic transport, a B2B and B2C business aspect, which the national company expects to represent 10% of total revenue in the next two years. Transaher, in turn, will be able to offer its clients, from its Madrid hub, 24-hour delivery times throughout Portugal.
Additionally, this partnership will allow the entities to use the same work processes, namely the same integrated software (operational and information systems), with all the inherent advantages, including the possibility of offering online feedback in real time, with proof of delivery available via the web through mobile devices, both for deliveries in Portugal and Spain.
