Kik will soon open its first stores in Portugal and Spain. The German textile company is thus continuing its internationalization journey, securing its representation in 14 countries, including Germany.
In Portugal, the first store is scheduled to open on September 24th at the Carvalhos Retail Park in Pedroso, very close to Vila Nova de Gaia. More stores will follow in the Greater Porto area, Greater Lisbon, and the Algarve.
In Spain, the first store will open in Seville on September 29th, with 15 more stores planned, focusing on the Andalusia and Madrid regions, without forgetting the north and the Mediterranean coast, which are part of the expansion plans.
The teams are being formed and, in mid-September, they had the opportunity to visit KiK's headquarters in Bönen, North Rhine-Westphalia. Welcomed by management, they received their first introductions to the company. In the future, more regular exchanges between KiK employees across Europe are planned.
"Retail company experiencing strong growth"
The chain, already represented in Italy since 2017, is expanding its presence throughout southern Europe with the new openings in Portugal and Spain.
“ KiK is a rapidly growing retail company. Expansion into new markets is part of our development strategy, which has made KiK one of the leading retail companies in Europe in recent years, ” explains Fernando Strubing Gomes, General Manager for Portugal and Spain. “ Our goal is to have KiK in every home. With the new stores in Portugal and Spain, we are getting closer to achieving that goal ,” he comments.
