With an already established career within Ceetrus Portugal, as head of innovation and part of the CINCO District mixed-use project team, João Remondes now assumes the role of leader of transformation and positive impact at Ceetrus Portugal.
This is a new role within the structure of Ceetrus Portugal, emerging in the context of global change to prioritize the positive impact of Ceetrus and the projects it manages in the country.
As a leader of transformation and positive impact, João Remondes will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and facilitating innovative projects that add value to the assets managed by the company, based on the needs of today and tomorrow. Part of his mission will also involve aligning all Ceetrus projects with its corporate social responsibility strategy, combining two pillars: Less Carbon and More Territory, thus prioritizing environmental and economic impact, with a focus on the local area.
João Remondes further emphasizes that “ this role aims to understand the ramifications of ongoing changes at a global level and, through the analysis of their impact, to develop our vision as a company more efficiently and sustainably. This work involves the regeneration and transformation of our assets, as well as the surrounding territories, to promote a new urban mix that combines economy, ecology and community and, consequently, generates a positive impact in all areas involved .”

João Remondes, 39, a graduate in Food Technology from Nova University of Lisbon, has taken on new responsibilities at Ceetrus Portugal, a leading commercial real estate company that owns and manages the Alegro shopping centers and operates in business areas such as offices and residential spaces. His new role as leader of transformation and positive impact underscores Ceetrus Portugal's focus on transforming its current and future assets, keeping pace with how society is evolving and interacting with spaces, particularly in the context of the current pandemic.
His professional career spans 15 years working in marketing and innovation, in various sectors such as banking, insurance, retail, and consulting, both in Portugal and in Brazil, Spain, and Belgium.
João Remondes joined Ceetrus Portugal in 2017 to be part of the team for the company's first mixed-use project – CINCO District. Following his participation in this project, he also served as head of innovation.
