Henkel will make the highest dividend payment in its history, thanks to the results achieved in the last fiscal year.
“ We have come to a successful year ,” emphasized Hans van Bylen, CEO of Henkel, at the General Meeting. “ We achieved a new sales record, exceeding €20 billion for the first time. We also recorded record profits and margins. Therefore, we are proposing to the General Meeting a record dividend of €1,79 per preferred share .”
For this year, Hans Van Bylen assures that the economic situation is generally good, but there are areas of concern. In Europe, it is still unclear how Brexit will be carried out. " This uncertainty is a burden on the economy ," he warns.
The manager also referred to the international controversy surrounding tariffs and trade restrictions, which he considers unfavorable for global economic development. “ Raw material and packaging prices will likely continue to rise compared to the previous year. Currency effects will also remain a significant factor. We anticipate very high volatility. We expect the dollar to weaken further against the euro .”
For this exercise, Hans Van Bylen confirmed the outlook for organic sales growth between 2% and 4%.
