On March 25th, changes were made to the shareholder structure of the company Garcias. João Garcia, until then vice-president of the board of directors, expressed his intention to sell his 50% stake in the company, leaving Filipa Garcia, the current CEO and president of the board of directors, with 100% of the share capital of Garcias SA.
“It is an honor for me to assume this responsibility at the largest and best beverage distribution company in Portugal. I have a huge commitment to our purpose, which is our great competitive advantage and what will guide us, as a company, to remain relevant in this constantly changing market ,” says Filipa Garcia, CEO of Garcias.
Following this change, Sérgio Azevedo, previously a member of the board of directors, assumes the position of vice-president of the board of directors, while retaining his role as commercial director.

We need a present shareholder structure and leadership to continue a sustainable business for the future. I will closely monitor, as I always have, the entire strategy, the organizational culture, and the people, who are, for me, a fundamental pillar for our growth. I will be a mirror of our purpose and the values of this company ,” he adds.
