The Ferbar Group, through its Alibar packaging plant, has been awarded Rainforest Alliance certification, marking a significant step in its commitment to sustainability.
The certification, awarded in accordance with the Rainforest Alliance Sustainable Agriculture Standard, is granted to organizations that demonstrate a genuine commitment to protecting biodiversity, social equity, and that also contribute to improving sustainable livelihood opportunities for producers, workers, and their families.
In a statement, Helena Rangel, Quality Director of the Ferbar Group, highlighted that the distinction “ reinforces our vision that product quality must go hand in hand with respect for the environment, for people and for forest communities ”.
The spokesperson added that the company is convinced that “ the future of the food industry is built on ethical, more transparent and sustainable practices. Alibar's certification is more than an achievement – it reflects our ongoing commitment to a responsible development model .”
