Dachser has created a new central unit called "Corporate Solutions, Research & Development" for the research and development of industry-specific logistics solutions.
The new corporate unit aims to drive the continuous development of new solutions, thus complementing the multinational's standardized transport and storage services. The new area includes services tailored to clients with special requirements, value-added services for specific industries, and premium end-customer delivery services.
Led by Stefan Hohm – who has been responsible for the Hof logistics platform in Germany for the past seven years and has worked for the German multinational for 23 years – the team will implement global supply chains for clients in specific industries, as well as consolidate the multinational's research and development activities.
The new “Corporate Solutions, Research & Development” unit will work in parallel with the Corporate Development and Strategy Unit, promoting an effort to meet the logistical demands of industries. In this regard, Stefan Hohm will report all the work developed by the unit directly to Bernhard Simon, CEO of Dachser.
Dachser also highlights that it has already established two specific solutions for the industry in Europe, including "Dachser DIY Logistics" and "Dachser Chem-Logistics," which record six million shipments annually.
