The Continente Bom Dia store in Vila Nova de Cerveira, Viana do Castelo, has opened, bringing the total number of Continente stores in the district to nine.
The new space represents the creation of 41 jobs, 16 of which are first-time jobs. It is a neighborhood store with approximately 1.400 square meters of sales area.
The new store offers a range of thousands of products, including Continente's own brand products. Also noteworthy are the fresh produce sections, namely fruits and vegetables, bakery, butcher shop and fishmonger, which feature regional products. In these areas, which resemble a traditional market, visitors can find information about the origin of the products and other relevant characteristics.
Pedro Paranhos, store manager of Continente Bom Dia in Vila Nova de Cerveira, highlights that “ this opening reflects Continente's confidence in the growth potential of Vila Nova de Cerveira. We believe that this store will contribute to the local economy, starting with the creation of 41 jobs, and we hope to win the trust of the local population by bringing them the best products at the best prices .”
The opening of the store is being celebrated with a 10% discount campaign using the Continente Card, valid throughout the store, between September 19th and 22nd.
From an environmental standpoint, the Continente Bom Dia store in Vila Nova de Cerveira is equipped with systems that prevent, on the one hand, the additional consumption of energy for refrigeration and, on the other hand, heat exchange with the outside, thus reducing the store's energy consumption. In terms of lighting, it features low-energy, 100% LED lamps and equipment to control and reduce potential excessive water consumption.
To promote environmental awareness within the local community, the store has equipment where customers can deposit used cooking oil, used batteries, and cork stoppers, which will later be sent for recycling. Similarly, the Continente Bom Dia store in Vila Nova de Cerveira will offer its customers a variety of reusable bags.
