Nortada has already reopened the factory.

Fábrica Nortada has reopened, with appropriate social distancing measures in place. There's a new menu, new opening hours, and a takeaway service.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, several essential measures were implemented to ensure public safety and health.

The craft beer house in the heart of Porto is now open from Tuesday to Sunday, between 12 pm and 23 pm, with its capacity reduced to half (only 50 people) and a minimum distance of two meters. Events, which traditionally brought together hundreds of people, have been postponed.

Furthermore, the menu can now also be accessed via QR code, and the entire menu is available not only for consumption on the premises but also for takeaway. Those visiting the factory will immediately notice that the space has become even larger and more spacious than usual, facilitating social distancing between tables and between people.

Regarding the impact of the pandemic, Pedro Mota, CEO of Nortada, states that “ the craft beer sector is made up of projects and companies built on passion and dedication. I think I speak for everyone when I say that, to get to where we are today, we had to overcome challenge after challenge to make our brands evolve. I don't have a crystal ball, but I am fully convinced that brewers will continue to fight and do everything to overcome this challenge. We will come back even stronger .”

Beer of the month

As has become customary, Nortada will be launching its new beer of the month this week. May is the month of "The Twist," an American Wheat.

This is a light, refreshing, and aromatic beer, specially crafted for leisure enjoyment. "The Twist" was created with the goal of being easy to drink, with distinctive aroma and flavor characteristics, yet well-balanced.

The label was designed by illustrator Helena Bernardes. This and all other different limited edition styles are available at Fábrica Nortada, in bottles, kegs, and on tap.

The special April edition – “Thank You” – was a tribute to all those on the front lines in the fight against Covid-19, with all proceeds from this solidarity beer going to the Red Cross. The sale of 13 bottles will raise €26.
